A map of the Falklands - Update: Task force has been sent

Ships that have been sent to the Falklands as of today...

RFA Wave Ruler

HMS Scott

HMS York

Here is what's going on down yonder if you did not know.

Three ships have been sent thus far; HMS York, HMS Scott and RFA Wave Ruler, so someone is clearly a bit consternated. What is more, I would not be at all surprised if this has something to do with the back track on the sale of the RFA. As many people have pointed out, they will be needed if hell breaks loose again.

Update: HMS York was actually there already - my apologies.

My last ship was the Wave Ruler. Mind you the Navy and the RFA are shadows of their former self.

I'm surprised that they aren't sending a sub.

I propose that they need a decisive defeat, perhaps that will bang some common sense into their thick skulls.

Personally I reckon Brown and The argy lady have cooked this one up between them to help Labour cling to power.
Smacks of the pants bomber and the amazingly strong IRS building in Austin that has stood up to the impact of having a plane flown into it unlike building 7 in New York which managed to collapse within its footprint with no help from a crashed aircraft!
