To be clear on the EU

We Eurosceptics love Europe: we know its cultures, speak its languages (I speak two other european languages), admire its nations, cheer their patriotisms. We simply recognise that there is a wider world out there: a world that is growing while the EU is shrinking.

Same here. I speak 3 other european languages (fairly well), live in Spain, love Europe and the differences in our cultures but I absolutely despise the EU!

Well done Sue, I am completely with you. And that seems to be the general tread; we are the eurotrotters and the completely uneducated ones are those who seek to keep us chained to the EU leviathan.

I refuse to learn or speak any modern language other than English; I dislike the French, the Germans and the Italians - among other non-British peoples.

In short, I dislike Europe and its inhabitants. That is my overweening wish to be rid of them - they are nasty foreigners and I will not treat with them.

Call me any abusive names you care to - I shall not change my opinions.

opsimath, I don't share your opinions one bit but such is the nature of free speech. And I will not call you abusive names, yours is the opinion above I simply don't agree with it.
