Ruled by Retards

We truly are ruled by incompetent fucking retards. Not even Labour were this stupid. This particularly pisses me off, since a fair few of my friends were intending to go down this route. Bloody fucking idiots that is all I can say, the party of the armed forces my fucking arse. This is their record so far, try convince anyone to vote for them come the next election. UKIP are going to have a field day.
  • Reducing the planned purchase of 22 Chinooks to 12
  • Delaying Trident for political reasons that will cost billions
  • Cancelling Nimrod MRA4
  • Reducing armour and artillery, if reports are to be believed, to the bone
  • Reducing surface vessels
  • Reducing Tornado
  • Withdrawn Harrier GR9′s
  • Withdrawing Sentinel
  • Slashing allowances and expenses
  • Setting up the armed forces for a post Afghanistan change in terms and conditions of service
  • Implementing a 2 year pay freeze
  • Reducing pensions
  • Reducing service personnel by 17,000
  • Reducing the MoD Civil Service by 25,000 which will likely result in more work for service personnel
  • Removing the External Reference group from reporting on the Military Covenant
  • Trying to convince everyone that the SDSR was a considered and balanced review (thats my favourite joke of the year)
  • Sacking 25% of RAF trainee pilots
A conservative is someone who believes in reform. But not now. Just slash and slash and slash until the blood is flowing, and then the wolves will come... I am all for cutting public spending but not at the cost of national security.

Will that be more work estimated before or AFTER;

XX # Reducing service personnel by 17,000 XX.?

This is TYPICAL of todays bosses though.

Make every one work 100% harder, then reduce the work force by 50%....or whatever.

THEN sack the poor bastards left because they can not keep up with what is now a 150% extra work load.

And coastguard tugs that rescue grounded nuclear subs are being withdrawn as well. Welcome to a Federated European Union.

Under Labour, I was convinced that their policy was to "break" the armed forces by overstretch and then cite this as proof that we must amalgamate our defence forces with the EU.

There were several strands of anti-armed forces prejudice within Labour

The genuine pacifist tradition (honourable but stupid)

The Politically Correct/Marxist haters of "hierarchical structures" who have no conception of things like honour and duty.

The Irish republicans who hate "the forces of the Crown".

It appears however that Europhilia trumps all and the Europhiles of any party have no concept of honour or duty except to the Eurostate.

Add to this the fact that the MoD has been remarkably inefficient (and probably corrupt) on a huge scale in military procurement and you have the
present situation.
